The Mirror reports lost her temper with Stuff magazine writer Bill Schulz and slapped him across the face at an after-show party following her appearance on Saturday Night Live. Shulz claims, “In reaction to an interview we did, slapped me across the face at a Saturday Night Live after-party.” According to Kylie’s people, the writer is not only guilty of writing an unflattering interview, but embellishing the truth. “It was a verbal assault,” her spokesman told us. “She told him he needed a slap across the face.”

July 29, 2002 – The Daily star reports Kylie Minogue will pocket over $1.5 million for her new autobiography. Kylie was persuaded to agree to the book La La La Kylie after the publishers sent her a pair of her favorite shoes by Manolo Blahnik. The book is expected out by Christmas and will be written by William Backer, friend and stylist to Kylie. A spokesperson for the publishers said, “We were very keen for her to write a book. We approached her – lots of others did too, but we wanted to be different.”

July 28, 2002 – John McGurk of the Belfast Telegraph reports renewed hopes that the comeback chart queen Kylie Minogue would be performing in concert in Ireland in November, have once again been cruelly dashed. MCD spokesman, Justin Green told Sunday Life, “Despite the rumors, there are no confirmed plans for Kylie Minogue to perform in Ireland this year.” Parlophone Records spokesman, Murray Chalmers, dismissed the speculation as “completely and utterly untrue.”
