Pete Waterman tells BBC Music Magazine that many of the chart topping pop songs he has penned were “stolen” from the works of classical composers, including Kylie Minogue’s ‘I Should Be So Lucky’, which was taken from Pachelbel’s Canon, the Baroque classic for strings. “My job is to make sure you can’t spot it. If I’m good at what I do you shouldn’t be able to hear where I’ve taken it from,” Waterman said. Read more.
