While Kylie Minogue played a role in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Moulin Rouge’, the director’s spokeswoman Maria Farmer tells The Mirror don’t look for Kylie in his big-budget remake of Puccini’s opera, La Boheme. “From the moment Baz perceived the notion of the Absinthe Fairy, he thought there’d be no better person for the role than Kylie Minogue. But there’s no way she’ll be appearing in his new film. Her voice simply isn’t up to it. La Boheme is Puccini’s classic operatic score, sung in Italian. Baz has spent most of the last two years searching the globe and he’s auditioned 2,000 opera singers. And let’s face it, Kylie’s no opera singer.”
