Kylie Minogue’s publicist has responded to The Sun’s report that the singer’s treatment for breast cancer, which has included chemotherapy and a partial mastectomy, has been 100% successful. Kylie Minogue Reportedly Cleared Of Cancer
January 13, 2006 – The Sun reports that Kylie Minogue has been given the all-clear from breast cancer from doctors in Paris and has now gone back to Australia to celebrate with her family. “Kylie was desperate to see her family. She just wanted to hug them all and tell them it was going to be okay,” a source close to the singer revealed. “She is thrilled and relieved. It’s been a tough few months and there have been times when she felt very weak and very down. Chemotherapy is a grueling, horrible treatment which puts the body under intense strain. But this is the news she has been waiting to hear and she can hardly put her happiness into words – she just keeps beaming.”

Kylie Minogue Begins Plans For New Tour
January 2, 2006 – The People reports that Kylie Minogue has started work planning a string of new concerts after her Showgirl tour was cancelled last year as she battled breast cancer. “Fans will be part of a tour they’ll never forget. Kylie’s been thinking about these shows a lot and they’re going to be special,” commented Kylie’s tour manager Michael Gudinski.
