Suicidegirls.com spoke with Lady Gaga, asking the singer about the recent talk that she’s influenced Christina Aguilera’s new look. The ‘Just Dance’ singer responded that she doesn’t “want to get swallowed up with what the media says and she said and then what he said and everything gets twisted up and discombobulated. And at the end of the day, when I was a little girl, I was a really big fan of Christina’s and I still am a fan. I think she’s very talented, so I don’t want to get wrapped up in all that stuff. I don’t have anything bad to say about her. I think she’s a legend in her own right for my generation and I think there can be both of us. I don’t think there has to be one.” Read more.

I think that both artists are amazing. I personally idolize gaga but at the same time I think people are wasting their time blaming Christina and Gaga. They both make music, dance, perform, and make money in the music industry. that should be all that matters. Aguilera’s songs and videos may look similar to those of gaga but when it comes down to it, every musician takes a little piece of another musician’s style to help make their music a little more appealing. Lady gaga has many similar traits to Madonna but she’s doing all new things with it. face it, they are both stellar artists and I can’t wait to see more.
