Lady Gaga Discusses Her Name, Style & Christina Aguilera Comparisons
Lady Gaga talked to the ‘Today’ show’s Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford during an appearance on Monday (December 15). The singer talked about the story behind her stage name, loving David Bowie and ’70s glamour growing up, why she thinks ‘Just Dance’ has caught on, having one focus growing up and making sacrifices, and she showed off her Christian Siriano outfit. As for the comparisons to Christina Aguilera and talk that Christina has been copying her style, she responded, “Listen, I’m born and raised New Yorker. I’ve been watching this show since I was really little and for me New York girls – fashion’s our life – every single day. Just being as young as I am, being compared to a superstar like Christina so early in my career is just so flattering. I’m just really flattered by it.” She then demostrated some of her dance moves to Hoda and Kathy. Watch the video below.
