Lady Gaga: Lip-Synching Is Really Fu**ed Up
KIIS FM’s JoJo Wright and Boy Toy Jesse sat down with Lady Gaga backstage at Wango Tango 2009 over the weekend. Gaga talked about her three dimensional outfit, and the Madonna comparisons. “At the end of the day, I’m a really hard working young girl, who killed and bled and fought for my music everyday and I never gave up and that’s really what I want everyone to know about me,” Gaga explained. “Because the truth is anyone could do what I did, you just have to be really passionate about what you do, and refuse to let rejection ever tear you down.”
Gaga also talked about how she’s never lip-synched despite the active dancing involved with her live set, an excuse Britney Spears defenders frequently use. “I would never even think about it,” she insisted. “The whole point to me is, if you’re gonna be #1, you better really be fu**ing #1. If you’re gonna be on top, you better be able to do all those things, because it’s a real privilege to be able to make music everyday, and I get away with alot. Andy Warhol says art is what you can get away with, and I get away with a lot with my music and my clothes and I work really hard so I could truly be a real artist for all my fans. That’s really fu**ed up when you lip-synch.”
