Lady Gaga was on the phone with On-Air with Ryan Seacrest on Monday (March 15), where the ‘Telephone’ singer talked about the song’s new video featuring Beyonce, her upcoming Monster Ball tour and her love for the Academy Award-winning film ‘The Hurt Locker’.
“The storyline of the video is Beyonce and I for a Thelma and Louise runaway and by the end of the video it became so much more as we explored each scene and each scene grew into itself,” Gaga told the KIIS FM host. “It became about transexual women at the beginning of the video and it became about kind of making fun of American hallmarks like with soda cans and cigarettes and mayonaise.”
Gaga said the Coke cans used as curlers was actually something her mother did. They also discussed how she and Beyonce share a mutual respect and Gaga’s love for her gay fans.
