LAPD: Gun Not Involved In Britney Spears Custody Standoff

Responding to a fictional report by News of the World suggesting Britney Spears had a Beretta 92FS handgun and an automatic Glock, which British tabloid claimed ex-husband Kevin Federline feared she’d use to murder their two children Sean Preston and Jayden James, a spokesperson for the LAPD is denying the involvement of a firearm in Thursday’s standoff. “There was no gun involved – that’s the first we’ve heard of this,” the spokesperson said, adding, “The police were called out to Britney Spears’ residence to investigate custody issues over her children – not because there was a gun in the house.”
