TMZ reports Britney Spears lawyers have made it clear to the troubled pop tart that it is extremely important for her to show up to today’s custody hearing before Commissioner Scott Gordon if she hopes to have contact with her children Sean Preston and Jayden James anytime soon. Gordon will want to hear the 26-year-old’s explain why she violated the custody order by failing to turn over Jayden over to ex-husband Kevin Federline’s security earlier this month, as well as what behavior she exhibited which prompted authorities to place her on a 5150 hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Lawyers told Spears that if she skips today’s hearing, Gordon will almost certainly will extend her ban on visitation until the trial in April.
Meanwhile, if Spears does show up, the LA Sheriff’s Department won’t be providing her assistance to get into the building in the face of a throng of media. TMZ hears that they’re fed up with Britney refusing to work with deputies by giving them information as to when she’ll show up, or if she will. But if Britney gets driven in with her lawyers this time, that could be changed.
