Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Monday, “Here’s some happy news. Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani announced he is engaged. Mayor Giuliani is engaged. Isn’t that something? Hey, I had no idea he even knew Jennifer Lopez. Did you know that? Oh, that’s the big rumor. The big rumor is Jennifer Lopez is planning a Christmas wedding. Followed by a 4th of July wedding. A Labor Day wedding as well.”
Jay later joked, “Happy birthday to Britney Spears. Britney Spears, 21 years old today. You know, it’s interesting — yeah, her parents were on the news today. And her parents said it seemed like only yesterday that they were bringing her home from the hospital, you know, following her implant surgery. But they said it seemed like yesterday. And I thought this was nice — in tribute to Britney, all her friends got together and lip-synced ‘Happy Birthday’.”
