Liberty X Move To Immobilize Phone Crime

March 29, 2003 – The Mirror reports Liberty X revealed that many of their fans had been assaulted during mobile phone thefts, and as a result, the group decided to become the faces of Immobilize Phone Crime – an initiative which aims to curb the amount of mobiles stolen. Jessica Taylor told the paper, “If you call 08701 123123, your phone gets cut off straightaway. Some kids get their phones nicked as a form of bullying and we’re getting the message across that it’s a crime and they can do something about it.” She added, “I’ve lost so many phones. It’s such a pain when it happens and you don’t know who could have got hold of it.”

Liberty X Want A Little Bit Less

March 26, 2003 – Liberty X have told Radio 1 how they’re getting a bit of unwanted attention from underaged girls flashing them at their gigs. “We don’t have a problem with it, as long as they’re over a certain age. It was a bit disturbing cos this one was about 16,” a member of the band said. “A few fans have sort of flashed their boobs at the gigs and stuff, and it’s a bit shocking but nice all the same. So it’s not a problem, but it is a problem if you’re underage!”
