Samantha Ronson Comments On Paris Hilton Starting Jail Sentence
June 4, 2007 – Samantha Ronson weighed in on the big news that Paris checked into jail late last night after attending the MTV Movie Awards. “Gotta give the girl props for sneaking in early,” she writes. “I still stand firm on my original opinion – I think it’s ridiculous that she’s going to jail… but hey, might as well get it over with! No sarcasm… I feel bad for her… I’d be tripping right now. I wonder if you’re allowed to smoke cigarettes in jail this being California and all… is it weird that that’s my first thought? That would suck – going to jail and having to quit smoking at the same time – not that I know if she smokes – but seeing as this is my blog – I can state what my biggest fear would be! Ha! Anyway, I’m sure she’ll get out early for good behavior and she’s gotta be scoring some points for showing up unfashionably early!”
Paris Hilton Talks To ‘ET’ About Jail Time
June 4, 2007 – Outside the MTV Movie Awards last night, Paris spoke with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ correspondent Kevin Frazier, revealing that she chose to go to an L.A. County Jail, rather than a “pay jail” that might have had more perks. “I did have an option to go to a pay jail,” the heiress explained, “but I chose to decline because I feel that the media portrays me in a way that I’m not and I wanted to show everyone that I can be just like everybody else. And I’m gonna do the time the right way and I hope this will be a good example to people.” Paris also says that negative comments do hurt her, but said: “Hopefully this will show people that you know I am a strong and good person.”
