Lil’ Kim took a bit of a stab at Britney Spears in her interview with Jancee Dunn of Rolling Stone magazine in her interview for their Women in Rock issue. Asked if female pop stars try to be role models for young girls, Lil’ Kim responded, “See, I wouldn’t say that they should try and be, because nobody’s perfect. Me, I never proclaimed myself to be a role model, but I know that I am. I have to deal with it, so I have to be careful. Point blank. That’s the hard part . . . being careful. You know, it’s like having a Pepsi deal and getting caught drinking Coke. Hello! [Laughs] Nah, I’m kidding! I’m kidding.”
