Teen People caught up with Lily Allen in a Q&A, asking the singer about whether she’s pressured to do what so many other British pop stars have failed to accomplish, success in America. “If you’re really desperate for success [in the U.S.], then yeah, there is pressure. But I’m not. I happy with everything that I’ve succeeded up until this point,” Allen responded. “There’s more money coming through from my album sales in the U.K. I bought myself a house and that’s kind of taken the pressure away, you know? As long as I’m stable and happy in my life, that’s fine. Now, it’s about other people. I’m happy to be able to make other people happy with my music.”
