Linda Perry Didn’t Think Christina Aguilera Would Record ‘Beautiful’

Brian Hiatt of Entertainment Weekly previewed Christina Aguilera’s new album ‘Stripped’, and spoke with former 4 Non Blondes leader Linda Perry, who wrote and produced Aguilera’s latest single ‘Beautiful’, a track Perry thought Christina would never record. “I never in a million years expected her to gravitate towards that,” says Perry. “And when she did, it was hard for me to let go of that song, because it’s really special for me. So the deal was, ‘I need to hear how you sing it.’ And when I heard her, I said, ‘okay.’” Read more.
