Lindsay Clydesdale of the Glasgow Daily Record is weighing in on the latest of Madonna’s many image makeovers, calling the 49-year-old’s latest attempt to to reinvent herself by teaming up with younger star Justin Timberlake “cringe-worthy” leaving many fans with “bile in throats.” Clydesdale writes, “Madonna has diluted her image to the point where her life seems to be style over substance. Her reputation is a mess of conflicting messages – get your boobs out for the boys, dress chastely for the kids, save the planet, smash the system, blame religion, use religion. I don’t know if even she knows what she stands for any more.”
