Lindsay Lohan was released from the hospital on Monday after being treated for four days for headaches and a high fever, ‘Entertainment Tonight’ is reporting. The actress/singer is ‘expected to head back to work next week on her upcoming flick ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’, while her next film project ‘Lady Luck’ is getting pushed back from November to January so she can promote her debut album in December.

The New York Daily News reports Lindsay Lohan was diagnosed with an infection that causes high fevers and should be released from the hospital soon. “She is getting better,” her spokeswoman said, ruling out rumors that the teen singer and actress had meningitis.

Lindsay Lohan’s troubled father Michael spoke briefly with The New York Post on his way to the hospital where the teen queen was being treated for a fever. “It might be meningitis,” he said. Lohan’s spokeswoman said, “She had a 103-degree temperature and they are doing tests on her right now. [Boyfriend] Wilmer Valderrama, her mother and sister have all been to visit.”
