Bert Stern, who shot a series of photos of Marilyn Monroe known as ‘The Last Sitting’, has now revisited his classic shots with Lindsay Lohan. The 21-year-old singer/actress posed topless in a profile picture, while doing a frontal fully nude only obscured by a sheer cloth. Asked why she posed for the provocative images, Lohan told New York Magazine, “I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.”
Lindsay also discussed the tragic death of Monroe, and said, “You know, it’s also tragic what just recently happened to someone else.” Asked whether she was referring to her actor friend Heath Ledger, Lohan said, “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone.” But could that also happen to someone who made three trips to rehab in 2007? “I don’t know.
