Lindsay Lohan: They Said I Lip-Synched On GMA, But I Wasn’t

Steppin’ Out magazine caught up Lindsay Lohan and asked the teen queen about Ashlee Simpson’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ lip-synching debacle and whether she has or ever would lip-synch herself. “That just happened to me. They said I lip-synched on ‘Good Morning America’ to ‘Rumors’,” Lohan explained. “But I wasn’t lip-synching. There’s a club beat to the song. There’s five different ways that I sing it. I sang it live with a live band, but there’s also a track playing to add layers to the song so it sounds like it does on the album. Plus, ‘GMA’ would not have allowed me to sing it unless it was live. In fact, this week I’ll be singing ‘Over’ on ‘Ellen’ and that’s with just me and the band. No backing tracks.”
