Lynne Spears Convinces Britney To Get A Prenup

Sources close to Britney Spears tell The New York Daily News she caved in to her mother Lynne’s demands and asked Kevin Federline to sign a prenuptial agreement before their marriage on Saturday night. Spears had infuriated her mom, who is also her manager, when she swore her marriage to Federline would last forever and resisted having her lawyers draw up the deal. Under California law, Federline could have claimed half the pop singer’s vast fortune if her second marriage failed and there were no prenup.
