Apparently some fans of Mariah Carey are questioning the figure in a story submitted earlier that said Madonna had sold over 250 million in her career, which would put her over Carey in total album sales. The figure appears to come from the press release from Warner Records announcing Madonna’s ‘Re-Invention’ Tour, though doesn’t break down whether compilation albums or guest appearances on other artist’s albums are included in the figure.
