Madonna Calls Israel Trip ‘A Smashing Success’

Madonna tells The New York Daily News she’s happy she made her Kabbalah pilgrimage to Israel. Despite being dogged night and day by the media, she said in an e-mail, “I felt very safe and very welcome….From my perspective, [the trip] was a smashing success.”
