Madonna has premiered her ‘I Am Because We Are’ documentary on YouTube. Directed by Nathan Rissman and narrated by Madonna, ‘I Am Because We Are’ depicts a journey in the second poorest country in the world, Malawi.
“I felt this was a story the world needed to hear, so I made a film,” Madonna says in the intro. “This film takes you on an intimate personal journey with people whose lives have been touched by the AIDS epidemic, children who have lost their parents, parents who have lost children. Families that have been devastated. An entire generation of adults that has been wiped out because of this disease.”
