Madonna Likes England, But Bans The Nasty Tabs

NY Rock did an interview recently with where she expanded on why she pulled the plug on the original version of her ‘American Life’ video, her thoughts the war and the reaction those against Bush, such as the Dixie Chicks received for their views, and her opinion on living in England. Asked what she likes about living across the pond, said, “I like pubs. I like my husband. I like the sense of humor here, that most people have. I like the architecture. There’s really cool scenes here – there’s a really cool art scene, there’s fantastic theatre, great music, cool fashion… I could go on and on.” As for the UK press, she wasn’t as kind. “I didn’t mention the press among the things I like about here, did I,” she asked. “We even made it a rule in our house – nobody can bring magazines or newspapers into the house. Most magazines are just full of lies and I don’t want to have anything to do with them.” Read more.

    M’s right magazines and newspapers are filled with lies. M would know better than anyone because she has been written about so much in her career. She knows first hand how the media spins and twists stories so they’re no longer accurate and become deceptive.
