Madonna’s ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ An American Flop?
Over the past couple of months fans of pop diva Madonna have been blubbering about the artist’ new album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’, declaring it as her best work to date. They even went as far as comparing her album to that of song stress Mariah Carey with popdirt being filled with articles comparing the two divas. However, American sales if anything is to going by show that Madonna’s recent album is not doing well, she is yet to go platinum although it peaked at the number one spot! On the other hand, her supposed rival Mariah Carey’s ‘Emancipation of Mimi’ is still doing better than Madonna’s ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ on the Hot 200 albums at number 22 while Madonna’s is at number 56! Not that this is a comparison between these two greatest artist of our times but it is actually my way of pointing out the fact that as much as Madonna fans say Mariah is a flop they should think again!
