No — I’m not talking about her latest single ‘Jump’ (which can never be found in the Billboard Charts, MTV and radio). I’m talking about her latest gimmick: adopting and African “orphan.” First it was denied. Then suddenly confirmed. Just the same, CNN and other big news networks and celebrity-oriented news and talk shows didn’t care. The world went on without anybody noticing or paying attention to the woman who WAS the biggest star in 1985. Perhaps the world has learned to see through the artificiality of this aging crone, who made a name for herself — not through talent (a word which can never be associated with her) — through a series of gimmicks. The early gimmicks clicked. The latter ones — like all her songs and other endeavors — flopped. The world cannot be deceived anymore (except perhaps a few aging loyal fans holding on to faded glitter). From those who did notice this adoption, what the biggest has-been alive got were stinging condemnation. Late night talk show hosts are also having a field day making fun of this, Madonna’s latest flop. No one cares anymore or takes seriously this failed Angelina Jolie copycat. In this day and age, Paris Hilton taking her dog for its regular walk is a much bigger and more interesting news.
