Madonna’s UK spokeswoman Barbara Charone confirmed reports that the singer is going to have an anti-war message in her new video for ‘American Life’. “Madonna is a revolutionary and the video is certainly taking a bit of an anti-war stance,” Charone told the Guardian. “But I’m sure however this stance is put across it is going to be done in the same way she has conducted her entire career, which is edgy but in control. This is not going to be another George Michael.” Michael’s ‘Shoot The Dog’ video featured a caricature of Tony Blair as President Bush’s lapdog and was not well-received in the US at the time of its release.
