Jim Farber of the New York Daily News reviewed Madonna’s new album ‘American Life’ video, declaring that it in “not coherent enough to be controversial.” Farber said, “Ultimately, ‘American Life’ seems more like a satire on media, fashion and dietary issues than a dreary statement on politics. Given the runway setting for the battle imagery, Madonna probably means to say that war, as reflected through the media, becomes not just sanitized, but chic.” Read more.
