Mandy Moore Defends Her Short Brunette Hair
A particularly negative post by someone on Mandy Moore’s official forum where the ‘fan’ blasted her for her comments that she didn’t like being blonde, atomickittenMANDYwestlife said, “ARE YOU OKAY?! I mean, look at yourself now! Look, I’m not trying to be mean, but I’m just looking out for you.” The poster added, “A lot of ‘haters’ have been saying that you look like a lesbian and not that I agree, but I can see where they’re coming from. You really don’t look good with that short hair cut.”
Mandy responded to the poster’s self-proclaimed “constructive criticism” saying, “Normally, a post like this would hurt my feelings, but lately I have decided to trust my own judgements, opinions, decisions, etc. Sure, I got my hair cut for this film, but I love it when I am not working. And if some people out there don’t, well, who cares? Contrary to what you might believe, my hairstyle choices are not harming my career. Not everyone should look the same and in a trivial way, I have tried to prove that by the cutting my hair in the first place.” Mandy added, “Although I may hafta go back blond for a film role, don’t expect to see it for good.”
