Alexis Bledel, Amanda Bynes, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore, Ashley Olsen, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Evan Rachel Wood serve as cover girls this month for Vanity Fair. “The amazing thing is you realize how lucrative these girls are, especially the Olsen twins, Amanda Bynes, Mandy Moore, and Hilary Duff,” Krista Smith, Vanity Fair’s West Coast Editor tells Entertainment Tonight. “They open movies. They are like a cottage industry. Suddenly we hear about box office and the star is 15 years old.”

June 1, 2003 – Us Weekly quizzed Mandy and other stars on what their favorite warm-weather activity was. Mandy says, “Shopping – that is, outdoors. I’m learning to play tennis too.”

Snuck ‘Coverage’ On Sony

May 30, 2003 – Entertainment Weekly caught up with Mandy for a Q&A and asked the singer/actress why her forthcoming album ‘Coverage’ has been kept under wraps. “We kind of did it unbeknownst to the record company,” she said. “I found a producer I wanted to work with and we worked out of his garage studio and just did it. I didn’t even think about whether it was going to be a risk or whether the label would like it. It was just, this is what I’m doing, let’s go.” Read more.

Mandy Moore’s Haircut Battle

May 26, 2003 – WENN reports Mandy revealed her newly trimmed hairstyle had upset bosses on her new movie ‘How To Deal’. She says, “The big decision makers liked my hair [longer], but I fought. I know it’s really stupid – I’m talking about a haircut – but I felt really passionate about it and nobody wanted to listen to me.” The two sides compromised, with Mandy having long hair at the beginning of the movie, then cutting it later on.
