Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times reviewed Mandy Moore’s latest film effort ‘How to Deal’, giving it a ‘C’ grade. Ebert says Moore “has such an unaffected natural charm that she almost makes the movie worth seeing.” But, “the movie never really pulls us into the story and makes us care, the way those other three movies do.” Still, Ebert concludes, “What the movie establishes above all is that Moore has a future in the movies, maybe even in the horror film she’s making with Wes Craven.”
