Mandy Moore Says She’s More Known As An Actress

Mandy Moore was quizzed about her earlier comments that she was a singer first only to tell Movieline that “I feel more like an actress than a musician.” Moore candidly stated, “Ahhh, again something is misunderstood by some… hehe. Here’s the deal: My comment had nothing to do with what I feel more commited to… music or films. Music has my heart and is my number one priority, love, and passion. but, since ‘Walk’ came out over a year ago, people have had more of an awarness of me and my efforts in film. It’s very accurate to admit that I have had more success in my film ventures than music. Hell… no one heard ‘Mandy Moore’ and I’m still pretty damn proud of it. Most people know me more as an actress, then as a singer. It has been an adjustment and quite frustrating in a sense, as I have always voiced my love of being a recording artist. We’ll hafta see what the future holds… I am hoping the new record will mold most people’s perception of my career.”
