Mandy Moore Stays Modest
According to the Winnipeg Free Press in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Mandy Moore has something that the Britney Spears’ and Christina Aguilera’s of tomorrow and today lack: subtlety. You won’t see her kissing Madonna, or getting married in Las Vegas for 24 hours, or her butt get slapped in crazy music videos. Mandy is not inclined to flaunt her body, however, her character swims nude in the her newest movie Chasing Liberty. Of the little you do see (in the dark), is not Moore.
The nineteen year-old says, “Right off the bat, when I first read read the script I said this was a great movie and I wanted to be a part of it.” The director gave Mandy Moore a manila folder of pictures of girls in bikinis. “I got to pick my butt, and I think I picked a pretty good butt. You’ve got to, like, upgrade and get the better model butt.”
In Chasing Liberty, she plays Anna Foster, a president’s daughter who rebels against many years of Secret Service Scrutiny and media, and meets a handsome guy in Europe, played by Matthew Goode. Anna’s life is constantly interrupted by her fame, and she can’t go out or to dinner without people taking pictures of her.
“I feel that slow and steady wins the race. Each project has led to the next one and i’ve learned so much and i just want to continue being surrounded by wonderful people I know I can learn a lot from,” she says. “I just want to be the little sponge in the corner soaking up all their genius.”
