Marc Anthony’s Split Opens Door For Jennifer Lopez

The New York Daily News reports a judge in the Dominican Republic on Tuesday approved a divorce for Marc Anthony and former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, clearing the way for the singer to propose to Jennifer Lopez. Lawyers for Anthony and Torres said in a joint statement that their “clients remain close friends and are pleased to resolve this matter amicably.” But according to the divorce decree, Anthony must pay Torres $3,500 a month in alimony, plus $13,000 a month for support of their children, Cristian, 3, and Ryan, 9 months.
