The New York Daily News reports Marc Anthony credits Police Officer Kevin Lowry in his childhood East Harlem neighborhood with helping him trade poverty and crime for worldwide fame and success. “I still remember Officer Lowry for keeping me on the straight and narrow,” Anthony, 35, told a Hispanic Heritage Celebration at 1 Police Plaza on Monday. “He told me, ‘Go to school and don’t take any left turns along the way.’”
