Mariah Carey Dedicates New Album To Father

MuchMusic spoke with Mariah Carey in Atlanta at the All Star game, where she talked about her new album ‘Charmbracelet’, which she dedicated to the memory of her recently deceased father. “This year was very, very difficult,” said Carey. “I’ve never experienced anything like going through somebody battling cancer and then ultimately losing that person but I think that what I learned is, it’s about celebrating every single bit of time you have with someone who is close to you, someone who you’re related to.”
