Groovevolt.com reports that Mariah Carey has been avoiding her new boss at Island Def Jam, L.A. Reid, while working on her new album. “She has not met with Reid yet. She wants to complete her album without his input,” a business associate revealed. “This is a very important album to Miss Carey and she wants it to be her best. She doesn’t want to ruin the success with outside interference. She respects L.A. Reid but feels she needs to do this on her own.” Read more.
