WENN reports Mariah Carey has explained why she had her breakdown last year, attributing it to overburdeneding herself by taking on almost every contract that came her way. “I felt I had to do it because of the money,” Carey said. “I have never before made any decisions in my life based on the money, and I never will again. When you are on camera you have got to be effervescent. You’re not going to be sitting there eating turkey slices while you are talking on television.”
