Mariah Carey Goes Double Platinum In The UK

Yesterday afternoon Mariah Carey was awarded double platinum status (shipment of 600,000 albums in the UK) for ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ at a private record company presentation. Mariah was also awarded a certification for 20,000 spins of ‘We Belong Together’ on UK radio and one for sales of over 300,000 singles from the three releases of ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’. Mariah also took the opportunity to thank all UK fans, UK radio stations and DJs and paper press for their continued support.
