Mariah Carey Halts Album Work To Visit Ill Father

The New York Post reports Mariah Carey halted work on her new album to visit her father who is sick from an undisclosed illness. Carey’s rep, Cindi Berger explained, “Mariah was recording in Capri, and had to come back to New York suddenly because her father is seriously ill. She has visited him daily and is planning a special surprise for him to lift his spirits up on Father’s Day.”
