Mariah Carey Reminds Crowd How Talented She Is

Katrina T. Gathers of New London Day reviewed Mariah Carey’s performance Saturday night ( 6) at Fox Theatre. She writes, “Mariah Carey can sing. Let’s rephrase that – Mariah Carey can sang. I would never lump myself into the ‘fan’ category, but after her performance Saturday night at Fox Theatre, I can honestly say that I am no longer a hater, but an appreciator.”

When you put the chips down, erase the Sony/Tommy Mottola hate campaign, J lo’s stealing lyrics, Em’s bashing, Luis Miguel’s not being man enough..and her sister being deemed an unfit mother and the Mountains of press on her balloon tits, you seem to forget that this chick is a legend. The biggest selling female in history, you forget that she pens all her songs (All I Ever Wanted being F**king Awesome), and that she has the record for number 1’s. You forget when all the bulls*it is stripped away, this girl can sing. I sat in that audience, waiting to HATE on this ho, and there was the real Mariah, dressed fully, singing her Heart out like she did 10 years ago. Her voice is not damaged, Her voice is still like an angel. If she could just get her mind right, she would be able to re-claim her throne. Good Show. Now, Haters (Madfan, Wee-whatever–make me laugh with your hateful comments)

^Tig, darling, Mariah was over ages ago. Move on.

There’s nothing sadder than an aging “diva” trying to recapture the glory she has wasted and lost ages ago and loyal fans living as if it is still 1990.

Just a little reflection… if you put j.Lo and Mariah in the same room…oh make that, say, Hilary Duff (j.Lo is way too high and mighty and ABOVE for a has-been like Mariah Carey), people would pour all their attention to a rising starlet like Duff and ignore an uninteresting has-been…just a though…take it away, idiotic lambs.

Finally a positive review that isn’t filled with personal opinions and tastes. Nice points Tig. You guys keep talking about All I Ever Wanted, whats the deal with that? The song is good yes, but I don’t think its more moving than many others. You know that was her “wedding song” so I’m sure Mariah wouldn’t care to have that song brought up. “Til The End of Time” is still my favorite Mariah ballad. Alright and for the pop bishes here….if Mariah was a has-been and had no fans like you people claim, why would you feel the need to reiterate that over and over again? If it were truth and reality then you wouldn’t have to say sh**, it would just be understood.

Mariah is the best, J.Lo nor Hilary Duff can never, and will never receive the glory that Mariah has!!!!! It’s so funny how the haters keep saying she is over, but review after review from critics all across the nation seem to all think the same, MARIAH IS HERE TO STAY!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! Keep hating on the platinum diva, that just drives her more and more!

You know what guys, the haters are right, this is the worst year for Mariah!!!! I mean honestly, just look at the acclomplishments she made in the past 10 months, its really sad!!! 1) “Charmbracelet” debuted at #3 on the Pop Charts and #1 on the R&B Charts, selling more than 241,000 copies in her first week out, which is more than some of today’s biggest stars, including Monica, Mya, and Hilary Duff. As well as being the second highest selling debut of her entire career. 2) “Through the Rain” was a #1 selling single on Billboards Sales Chart, as well as being a #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts. 3) Busta and Mariah had one of the BIGGEST songs of the year with “I Know What You Want”. 4) She received a Lifetime Acheivement Award at the Soul Train Awards. 5) She received the Blue Diamond Certification, meaning she has had more than 100 Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum records through her career, there is only about 6 people in history to have this certification including people like Madonna and Elton John. 6) “Charmbracelet” has gone on to sell more than 3 million copies worldwide, without spawning off any real radio hits. 7) “Through the Rain” hit #1 on TRL. 8) “Charmbracelet” has become one of her most critically acclaimed albums in her entire career, such publications like USA TODAY, Blender Magazine, Vibe Magazine, People Magazine, and Entertainment Weekly, as well as many others, have given it great reviews. 9) Her “Charmbracelet World Tour” has become critically acclaimed, with critics across the nation saying the same thing, MARIAH IS BACK, AND THE GIRL CAN SING!!!! As well, as making every fan of hers happier than ever because her show is amazing. Even celebs like Missy Elliot, Janet Jackson, Kelly Rowland, Prince, and Jewel have recently attended her shows. Yeah, its been a tough 10 months for Mariah, I don’t know how she goes on!!!!! And award season hasn’t even come around yet!!!! Face it haters, as much as you like to, Mariah ain’t going nowhere!!

She’s still in demand…magazine covers, music collaborations, movies, tv, merchandise, etc… she’s not as predominant like in the 90’s, but she’s still very popular. if the media is still very interested in her love life, then she’s still in the game.

Except that Madonna was at a pretty high point in her career even 10 years, and still went on to do some good stuff and win Grammys and Oscars and even at the 15 year point. And she is high up on just about every list out there, vh1, women who rock, etc. And it’s really just recently in the past few years that she isn’t in the spotlight as much, and she has already been deemed a pop icon that even if she retired tomorrow will still be remembered as such.

  7. mikemc says:

Whats wrong haters????? Are you to busy taking your feet out of your mouths!!!!!! Sad that I constantly shut you down with FACTS, and all you do is CHAT!!!!!! You don’t mess with the Platinum DIVA!

  8. tena says:

What publications? Most of it will either be some type of statistics or an equally biased critique of her work. Saying that she is great. And she had to reduce her tour to theaters instead of arenas and stadiums, because of her lack of tickets. above us a sign that said Mariah Carey tickets cheap. And mikemc, all you do is repeat the same crap over and over, and throw insults, so you look the dumb one, no credibility.
