HitsDailyDouble.com reports Mariah Carey has signed on with Lyor Cohen at Island Def Jam in a deal with will have Carey given her own label under the IDJ banner. Carey had also been courted by Clive Davis- J Records and Sylvia Rhone at Elektra but chose to go with Cohen, who’s label is the market share leader so far this year.
