Mariah Carey booked herself into The We Care Center in Desert Hot Springs, California for a weeks worth of treatment shortly before it was announced that EMI/Virgin Records payed $49 million to buy her out of her record contract. The exclusive desert spa specializes in detox and juice fasting in a new age environment. An onlooker at the retreat says, “Some people who come here look terrible, but she looked fine.”
