‘Tennessee’ producer Lee Daniels tells The New York Daily News that Mariah Carey, who stars in the film as a country-and-Western singer, has potential to garner Nashville appeal. “I think she could have a country crossover career,” Daniels said. “I’m hoping she’ll write a couple of songs for the movie.”
