Mariah Carey, Far From Being Madonna

Contributed anonymously:

fans are silly to think that they can still compare her to . Having said that Mariah is beating her, well, for the record, ’s the most successful female artist in the world. In the USA alone she has 24 gold/platinum singles, more than any other female artist (second only to Elvis), so it’s just a lie that Mariah has sold more singles. She has won more Grammys than Mariah. She has the most top 10 singles by a female artist, again next to Elvis. She has the most top 40 singles by a female artist. She has the most VMA wins ever. She has 10 UK #1’s. Though Mariah has more US #1’s, that’s the only thing they hold on to. ’s last studio album was in fact a flop but so was Mariah’s! But compare the last two. ‘Music’ was a much bigger success than ‘Glitter’. And her tour is even selling so much better and she was reported to be making 100 million. Read on for a couple of her never-ending list of achievements without the nominations. A couple of them are quite silly but I still included them. I doubt it if it’s the only thing she’s got and I bet there’s more that I haven’t even researched.

  1. Mariah Fan says:

One thing is for sure, Mariah can sing and she writes her own material. Unlike Madonna who has no talent at all.

  2. BAHA says:

Okay, I don’t even know what this site is!
I Googled something completely different which didn’t involve Madonna or Mariah but I just find this completely funny how some person wasted there time writing this all out and listing all of Madonna’s accomplishments (although some look like stupid “#3 sexiest from MTV) or those pointless, meaningless awards where they aren’t rewarded anything haha.

And it was posted in 2004 so I don’t think anyone really looks at this crap. It’s a wonder I came across it! So to add, Mariah’s Emancipation & E=MC2 have outsold Confessions and Hard Candy, in the US alone!

Madonna is old, wrinkly, pumping the botox lately and is just desperate for attention and to stay in the spotlight. Good luck on that!!!!!

  3. oo says:

Mariah is just a stupid slut with no talent.

  4. Markus says:

Madonna’s achievements can be pinned down into one “credible” source, The Guinness Book Of World Records’ Best Selling Female Music Artist Of ALL TIME. Mariah is a singer but Madonna is a singer/dancer, so talent-wise MADONNA is genius. MTV is Madonna’s Turf, being the reigning MTV Queen, Madonna dominates all aspiring pop princesses who do sexy videos, Mariah Carey’s videos have been panned as “late bloomer”, she’s trying her ass off to win a Moon Man, sorry but all her videos are pathetic and full of nonsense dressing up like Britney Spears makes her look like Ozzy Osbourne on drag.

Let me also remind that being a genius, that is Madonna, she has ventured outside the confines of the US Billboard Charts (been there, done that), she has Evita, she’s into fashion, she has sold best sellers, and even directs a notable “I am because we are”. Mariah flawed on the other hand with Glitter (Flop), music video directing (poor).

And that what makes MADONNA- MADONNA. Mariah can be like a pop princess with her US Billboard Singles Charts on her belt. Well what else? Have A best actress in a musical, that we’ll have to wait (Like never)

so for those Mariah fans who are so so stupid on writing nasty words like wrinkly, old, oh please can you come up with a rather smart notions, Duh, it only shows that Like Idol-Like fan…right BAHA? boo hoo!

  5. haha says:

Mariah is just famous in the USA only, where she has that 18 number ones. But Madonna, she’s a worldwide phenomenon!

  6. Melanie says:

Mariah is better than Madonna, there is no need to get may meaningless awards to be a great artist.Mariah got much greater awards than Madonna. Mariah got award anybody would have before 1000 years ( the Millennium Award )!
About Guinness,it proves that it is less reliable than WMA cause its claimed Madonna sold 380 million albums since 2005,and now it rectify that the amount is 200 million ! See ? Anyway,Mariah is 100 times better than Madonna cause she accomplished in 10 years what it took 17 years to Madonna to accomplish ( without sexual eccentricities nor scandals ,or other self-promoting tricks ).Mariah is a true artist, the best female artist of all times 1

  7. Melanie says:

Madonna is far to being Mariah .Cause Madonna cannot undo her several sexual scandals which made her a few more successful than Mariah. However,Mariah already surpass Madonna ( in her 10 first years of career ,which equal Madonna’s 17 ones _).Madonna will also never have Mariah’s voice, nor Mariah’s Millennium award. She will never have as beautiful songs as Mariah’s.You see That Mariah is more than Madonna, and that Madonna is far from being Mariah ?

  8. breakerheart says:

    based on Music :
US and JAPAN(which the countries where Mariah is BIG) has a great IMPACT to the Music Industry all over the World .. that’s why although Mariah has 18 Number 1’s only in the US but it is known in the world ..
Yes , I agree that Madonna is The Best Selling Bitch Ever
    The Sexiest Whore Ever
Or The MOST of the MOST Slut Ever . and who cares?
Mariah’s Talent is God.Given unlike Madonna..
    Mariah has the :
    The Voice
    The Songwriting Skills
    The Emotions
    The Influence
The QUALITY of a GOOD Artist
    Madonna has the :
    The Popularity
    The Acting Skills
The Dancing Skills(although more of its steps are from MJ that she dissed once)
    The Sales(i doubt)
    The QUANTITY ..

overall Mariah is On Top By a BIT just because she’s Mariah.. and Madonna is below Mariah because she has to learn moral values and the proper way of singing..
