Mariah’s Fake J.Lo ‘Pig’ Comment Taken From 2002 Daily Star Item

That quote about Mariah Carey not ever wanting to do a duet with Jennifer Lopez because “I’d rather be on stage with a pig”, which prompted Carey to respond to People magazine that it was “a complete untruth” actually originated from a report in January 2002 from Britain’s Daily Star. The original report suggested Carey was approached by Grammy Awards organizers to duet with J.Lo, but she and J.Lo both refused the offer. Popdirt reported on it at the time, and for some reason, it was reported as a new news item last week.
