Marines And American Idol Have Contrasting Policies

Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue last night, “An ‘American Idol’ finalist, what’s this guy’s name? Joshua Gracin. You know this guy, you watch ‘American Idol’? He may have to leave the contest because his unit is being deployed. He’s a marine, but he’s one of the ‘American Idol’ contestants. See, that’s a contrast in lifestyle. ‘Cause in the marines, they have that ‘don’t ask, don’t tell policy.’ As opposed to ‘American Idol’ where you have the, you don’t have to ask, you can pretty much tell.”
