Maxim Special Pulled From Atlanta NBC Affiliate

Tonight’s Maxim magazine special on NBC celebrating their ‘Maxim’s Hottest 100′ list won’t be seen on Atlanta affiliate WXIA. The list featured Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, t.A.T.u., Jennifer Lopez, Avril Lavigne, Kylie Minogue, Shakira, and Jessica Simpson. “We didn’t feel it was appropriate,” WXIA station manager Bob Walker tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It’s not consistent with NBC’s emphasis on quality programming.” They’ll instead have a show on local football teams, the Atlanta Falcons and a half-hour special on the University of Georgia SEC championship football team.
