McFly have topped the UK singles chart with their new entry ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ / ‘Please, Please’, edging out Lily Allen’s ‘Smile’, which fell to fourth place after two weeks at number one. Other notables include Shakira, who dropped one to #3 with ‘Hips Don’t Lie’, Nelly Furtado’s ‘Maneater’, which dropped three to #7, Sandi Thom’s ‘I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker’, which dropped three to #8, and Paolo Nutini’s ‘Last Request’, which dropped three to #9.
